Food is good. It's the typical food that you find at every restaurant. Service could be better. Seems like they were short staffed and our waiter broke glasses because he was rushing all the time.

The original Calhoun's two-level rustic barn structure (with signature silo) provides an atmosphere filled with relics of the picturesque farmlands of East Tennessee. It is convenient to all of West Knoxville, as well as Oak Ridge and Maryville, via the Pellissippi Parkway. In 1983, the first Calhoun's, a big barn-like structure, opened in West Knoxville as a tribute to the agricultural roots and great barbecue traditions of Eastern Tennessee. Within a year of its opening, the restaurant's signature hickory smoked baby-back ribs won the title of "Best Ribs in America" at the prestigious National Rib Cook-Off. It was clear a tradition of greatness had been born.
