West Tennessee Healthcare Milan Hospital Emergency Room
Milan General Hospital is a 50-bed acute care facility, established in 1941 as Clemmer Clinic. The hospital became a wholly owned affiliate of West Tennessee Healthcare in 1998. Its services include emergency medicine, outpatient rehabilitation, general medical, radiology, general surgery and internal medicine. The hospital comprises critical care unit, laboratory and medical and surgical nursing unit. Milan General Hospital is located in Milan, Tenn. Its emergency department, equipped with a staff of full-time nurses who are trained in emergency care, is open 24 hours, seven days a week. It is a member of the American Hospital Association and the Tennessee Hospital Association and is licensed by the state of Tennessee. The hospital has also been approved by the Department of Health and Human Services for participation in Medicare and TennCare programs. Milan General has its own advisory board composed of citizens of city of Milan.
