Bad Idea Brewing Company was born out of a casual conversation among friends in 2015, culminating in a determination to bring distinctive, top-tier craft beers to the heart of southern middle Tennessee. Opening its brewery and taproom to the public on September 7, 2019, in Columbia’s Arts District, it proudly stands as the city/county’s inaugural on-site brewery, situated alongside Ollie & Finn’s sandwich counter at 510 N Garden Street.
For those seeking a departure from traditional brewing norms, Bad Idea Brewing Company shuns the conventional with no flagship beers, investors, or board of directors, fostering an environment that nurtures unbounded creativity in crafting exceptional brews. Owner and Head Brewer, Zac Fox, MS, leads the charge with over fifteen years of experience and a dedication to innovative ingredients and novel interpretations of classic beer varieties.
The brewery also offers the unique opportunity for private events, allowing guests to immerse themselves in the brewery experience alongside a select group of companions. By reaching out to cheers@badideabrewing.com, patrons can learn more about hosting personalized gatherings such as birthdays, rehearsal dinners, or graduation parties in the distinct ambiance of the taproom.
