Bad Idea Brewing, established in 2015, blossomed from a dinner conversation among friends and officially opened its taproom on September 7, 2019, in Columbia's Arts District as the first on-site brewery in the city's history. With a focus on crafting unique, high-quality beers without the constraints of flagship offerings or investors, the brewery encourages creativity in beer-making.

Led by owner and head brewer Zac Fox, who discovered his passion for craft beer through Dogfish Head's Midas Touch, Bad Idea Brewing continues to innovate with new ingredients and fresh interpretations of classic beer styles. Located at 510 N Garden Street, the brewery also features a sandwich counter, enhancing the experience for visitors in southern middle Tennessee.
