Established in 1972, Astec designs, manufactures and markets a line of continuous and batch-process hot-mix asphalt facilities and soil remediation equipment. The company dispatches its service personnel worldwide to help set up facilities and train operators. Its technicians staff the call-in service department and offer technical assistance and troubleshooting for hot mix plants. A variety of its products include asphalt facilities, material handling, drying and mixing, emission control, storage and load out, facility controls, material processing, soil recommendation, special projects and used equipment. The company holds approximately 53 United States and 20 foreign patents. Astec is headquartered in Chattanooga, Tenn.
