ANGIE MCCOY , PA

Brian received his undergraduate degree from California University of Pennsylvania, and completed his Masters of Physician Assistant degree from Duquesne University in 2004. Brian's career in Cardiovascular and Thoracic Surgery began in Pittsburgh, PA in January 2005, where he worked for 5 years prior to moving to Knoxville, TN. Brian have been employed by East Tennessee Cardiovascular Surgery Group and Covenant Health since 2010, where he have furthered his clinical and surgical skills including Endoscopic Vein Harvest, Endoscopic Radial Artery Harvest, Robotic Thoracic Surgery as well as pre and post operative ICU care. Outside of work, he enjoys spending time with his wife and two daughters, friends, golf, the gym, hiking, camping, and nearly all sports.

Jacob received his undergraduate degree in Radiologic Science from East Tennessee State University. He attended the University of Tennessee Health Science Center Physician Assistant Program in Memphis TN and graduated in December 2016. He started working in Cardiovascular surgery in 2017 and joined East Tennessee Cardiovascular Surgery Group in September 2020. Since joining the group he has been able to further his skills in endoscopic vein harvest, endoscopic radial artery harvest, first assisting in cardiac and thoracic cases and ICU care. Jacob's interests outside of work include spending time with his family, fishing, hiking, and spending time on the lake.

Hannah Royer is a certified nurse practitioner who supports the cardiothoracic surgeons at East Tennessee Cardiovascular Surgery Group in Knoxville, TN. Hannah has had a special interest in perioperative cardiac surgery since her first exposure in nursing school. She says she immediately wanted to pursue a career in the specialty and has stayed in it ever since. When she’s not caring for patients, Hannah enjoys spending time with her husband and two children, boating and water sports on East Tennessee’s beautiful lakes, and running.
