Abintra Montessori School

Abintra Montessori School, founded by a small group of parents, is an independent, nonprofit, educational organization that offers educational opportunities for children ages 3 through 15 years. The school offers Montessori-based education that integrates arts, Spanish, community service learning and outdoor education into the academic curriculum. The admission policy at Abintra Montessori School gives equal consideration to all children with no distinction of class, culture or intelligence. The school is a member of American Montessori Society and TN Association of Independent Schools. The institute organizes positive discipline parenting classes, gardening programs, and human growth and development programs. In addition to bringing practicing artists into the classrooms, Abintra Montessori School takes its elementary and middle school students out into the community for first-hand experiences with theater and dance productions, art exhibits, studios and concerts. The school is located in Nashville, Tenn.
