1884 Lounge

History

Formerly an Event Center known as Strings & Things, Minglewood Plaza was extensively renovated in 2007. The industrial property is situated on one of Memphis' most progressive streets, Madison Avenue, in close proximity to local bars and restaurants, and is located about a mile west of the reinvigorated Overton Square. Minglewood Hall is in a neighborhood where concert goers can attend a show, leave by midnight, and then visit a nearby bar for after-hour events.

1884 Lounge at Minglewood Plaza is the more intimate Event Venue inside the entertainment site. 1884 Lounge hosts some of the best local and regional music around. The Event Space has a room with a capacity of 400+, private backstage room, and a full service bar. Minglewood Plaza's Services And Supplies, Events And Event Planning offerings, including culinary team Minglewood Grill & Catering, are available in 1884 Lounge as well. The cozier of Minglewood Plaza's Event Centers, 1884 Lounge is open for parties, luncheons, comedy club events or concerts. 1884 Lounge focuses on the booking of local bands for its lineup.
