Stones River Watershed Association

The Stones River Watershed Association is a non-profit conservation group based in Murfreesboro, TN, dedicated to protecting and preserving the natural resources within the Stones River Watershed. Since its establishment in 2003, the association has been actively engaged in fostering awareness, conducting special projects, and providing beneficial information to the community at large.

With a mission to enhance and restore the ecological balance of this unique region, the Stones River Watershed Association works closely with civic partners to promote education, environmental tips, and preservation strategies. Covering an expansive area of 921 square miles, including 1031 stream miles, 22,691 acres of lakes, and 12 Natural State Areas, the association offers opportunities for residents throughout Middle Tennessee to explore and appreciate the diverse landscapes, ecology, and wildlife that make up this special place.
