Tolerance Week Inc
Tolerance Week Inc is a non-profit organization based in North Sioux City, SD, dedicated to promoting tolerance and educating young people about the Holocaust. Founded in 2005 by Dr. Denis Donovan and Jerry Weiner, the organization was inspired by the powerful story of Auschwitz survivor Philip Gans. Through their flagship program, "Erase the Hate," Tolerance Week brings Gans' firsthand experiences of survival and the dangers of bullying and hatred to schools in Iowa, Nebraska, and South Dakota, reaching over fifty thousand children. In addition, Tolerance Week offers community-wide events and workshops, including the annual Paper Clips workshop in Chattanooga, Tennessee, to further spread the message of tolerance and honor Gans' legacy.
