Sioux Falls City Street Department

The Street Maintenance Division maintains and repairs the complex network of streets, sidewalks, traffic control devices, stairways, storm drainage facilities and street appurtenances. It provides a range of street sweeping, pothole repair, and leaf and brush pickup services. The division also offers snow plowing and road edge mowing services. The division uses a variety of equipment, including snow plows, sander boxes, utility trailers, steam generators, crack sealers, loaders, excavators and graders. It is a part of the city of Sioux Falls, S.D., which also operates other departments, including fire, finance, information technology, human resources, parks and recreation, police, solid waste and risk management.
