Headquartered in Green Bay, Wis., Shopko, is an affiliate of Sun Capital Partners, a private investment firm that focuses on leverage buyouts, equity, debt and other investments. Shopko operates more than 140 retail department stores in over 14 U.S. states. The stores provide a variety of consumer products, electronic goods and medicines. Its product line includes books and stationery, toys and sporting goods, home and kitchen appliances, automotive and hardware parts, personal and pet care products, apparel and jewelry. It also offers cookware, paints, coatings, detergents, soaps, shoes, watches, bed liners and home furnishing products. In addition to products, the stores offer a variety of services, such as packaging, distribution, customer support and online shopping. Shopko maintains a store in Aberdeen, S.D.
