Simpsons Printing was founded in 1965, under the direction of pressman Frank Simpson. Three generations and 45 years later, we have continued to evolve as a single-family owned and operated business in Rapid City, South Dakota. In 1991, we also opened an office in Gillette, Wyoming. Transitioning from letterpress printing in the early years, to later utilizing offset printing technology, and now the latest in printing technology with a state-of-the-art six color press, Simpsons Printing has grown to become one of the most advanced printing operations in the region. In early 2008, we installed a factory new Heidelberg Speedmaster 74 printing press. This new press has the capacity to print 6 colors and coat at 15, 000 sheets per hour, or print both sides of the sheet at one time, at the same blazing speed. Our in-house pre-press department is home to the latest in digital technology, and we have also recently acquired new cutting and binding systems.
