Osher Lifelong Learning Institute
The Bernard Osher Foundation, established in 1977 by businessman and community leader Bernard Osher, is dedicated to enhancing the quality of life through support for higher education and the arts. The Foundation provides scholarship funding for reentry students and fosters a national lifelong learning network for seasoned adults across 125 institutions of higher education in the United States.
In addition to its educational initiatives, the Foundation supports programs in integrative health at prestigious institutions such as Harvard Medical School and the University of California, San Francisco, as well as grants for performing arts organizations and museums in Northern California and Maine. The Foundation is governed by a nine-member Board of Directors, chaired by the Honorable Barbro Osher, Honorary Consul General of Sweden in California.
