Kenneth K. Milligan, M.D. began his practice in 2022, specializing in adult reconstructive surgery and young adult hip preservation surgery. His clinical interests include the anterior approach to total hip replacement, personalized total knee replacement surgery using robotics, and revision hip and knee surgeries. Dr. Milligan also focuses on hip preservation techniques aimed at treating hip pain, before it progresses to arthritis. Dr. Milligan graduated from the University of Colorado Medical School in 2016. During his time there, he also earned a master’s degree in Bioengineering with a focus on Orthopedic Biomechanics Modeling, and was honored with the Outstanding Graduate Student Award. Following medical school, Dr. Milligan completed an internship and residency at Yale University. He trained with some of the leading experts in Direct Anterior hip surgery. He served as a guest lecturer for the Yale Engineering Department and mentored students on their senior thesis engineering projects. Dr. Milligan furthered his expertise with a fellowship in Adult Reconstruction and Hip Preservation in Ottawa, Ontario, Canada, where he focused on complex and revision arthroplasty and outpatient total joint procedures. He also treated young adults with hip dysplasia, Femoral Acetabular Impingement (FAI), labral tears, and other hip conditions. An accomplished researcher, Dr. Milligan has published multiple papers on orthopedic biomechanics and modeling, hip preservation techniques, and FAI. He has presented his research at both local and national orthopedic meetings. In his free time, Dr. Milligan enjoys rock climbing, backcountry skiing, and playing tennis with his wife and two children.
