Jami Kortan, PA-C, is an Advanced Practice Provider at Spearfish Clinic, North Avenue. Specializing in Pediatrics since 2016, Jami has been practicing since 2005, with prior experience in Family Medicine, Urgent Care and Emergency Medicine. In Oct. 2024, she was awarded the Clinical Excellence Award, exemplifying a commitment to the practice of pediatric medicine and Monument Health's mission, vision and values.Jami and her husband, Rob, have three amazing sons, Bennett, Eli and Lincoln, as well as a beloved dog, Reggie. In her free time, Jami leads a very active lifestyle and enjoys working out, biking, and golfing. Her most cherished pastime is watching her boys play sports.

Kayla Hatten is a CNP in General Surgery at Spearfish Clinic. She received her Family Nurse Practitioner degree from Mount Marty University in Yankton, SD. Kayla had previously obtained an Exercise Science degree from Black Hills State University and then a Nursing degree from the University of South Dakota. Born and raised in the Black Hills, from a young age Kayla admired the work provided in the medical field and set a goal to pursue a career as a Nurse Practitioner. Initially working in Cardiopulmonary Rehabilitation, Kayla wanted to become more vested in the care and treatment of those that she had served in the community in which she was raised and was thrilled to have the opportunity to give back to those that helped mentor, support and develop her throughout the years. As part of a team, Kayla can now further deliver personalized support and care to each patient. In her spare time, Kayla enjoys being outdoors, watching her children in their extracurricular activities, cuddling with her dogs, spending time with friends and adventuring with her family. Kayla and her husband share three amazing sons and are incredibly thankful for the community in which the boys will be raised.

Mackenzi was born and raised in Deadwood, SD and graduated from Lead-Deadwood High School in 2011. She received her baccalaureate and master’s degrees from the University of South Dakota. She worked as an EMT in Sturgis and as a nursing support caregiver at Golden Ridge Senior Care in Lead prior to working as a physician assistant. Mackenzi has a special interest in pediatric and adolescent medicine, though she enjoys working with a wide variety of patients. Mackenzi values spending adequate time with each patient, providing quality care and thorough explanations to every patient, and serving and connecting with her community. She now lives with her family in the Black Hills where she enjoys riding horses, hiking, camping, skiing and working cattle on the family ranch with her husband, children and dog.
