Mallory is originally from Wessington Springs, SD. She received her Bachelor of Science degree in Respiratory Therapy from the University of Mary in Bismarck, ND in 2012. Mallory worked as a Respiratory Therapist for two years in Bismarck and in Mitchell, SD at Avera Queen of Peace Hospital before deciding to further her education. She attended the University of South Dakota, graduating in 2016 with a master’s degree in Physician Assistant Studies. Mallory has been seeing patients in the pulmonology clinic since 2016.

Rorak Hooten, M.D., is a Pulmonology and Critical Care Physician. He completed his fellowship training at the University of Nebraska in Omaha and his residency at the University of Arizona in Tucson. Dr. Hooten is passionate about and dedicated to quality improvement and education for the betterment of his patients. His most recent research focuses on establishing a Difficult Airway Course for fellows at the University of Nebraska. Dr. Hooten is a member of the American College of Physicians, American Thoracic Society, American College of Chest Physicians and the Society of Critical Care Medicine. In his free time, he enjoys running, hiking, mountain biking and grilling.
