Nathan Rowan joined First Command Financial Services as a Financial Advisor in April 2020, following a 21-year career in the United States Air Force, where he attained the rank of Lieutenant Colonel. Nathan understands the challenges and opportunities associated with life in the military and is committed to helping service members and their families get their financial lives squared away. Nathan has a Bachelor’s degree in Latin American Studies from United States Air Force Academy and a Master’s degree in Military Operational Arts & Science from Air University. He holds Series 7, 66 securities licenses plus life and health insurance licenses in SD, ND, WI, CO, IN. Understanding that the biggest obstacle to financial security for most people is their own behavior, Nathan serves as a personal financial coach to clients, continually reinforcing positive financial behaviors. His thorough knowledge of military pay and benefits enables him to advise clients on how to navigate the Blended Retirement System, properly allocate their contributions to the Thrift Savings Plan (TSP) and take full advantage of other benefits. In his free time, Nathan enjoys hiking, listening to music, and spending time with family. Active in his community, Nathan is a member of Sojourners and his family's church. Kim has a Bachelor's degree in Mathematics from South Dakota School of Mines & Technology and a Master's degree in Administration from Central Michigan University.
