Jami Kortan, PA-C, is an Advanced Practice Provider at Spearfish Clinic, North Avenue. Specializing in Pediatrics since 2016, Jami has been practicing since 2005, with prior experience in Family Medicine, Urgent Care and Emergency Medicine. In Oct. 2024, she was awarded the Clinical Excellence Award, exemplifying a commitment to the practice of pediatric medicine and Monument Health's mission, vision and values.Jami and her husband, Rob, have three amazing sons, Bennett, Eli and Lincoln, as well as a beloved dog, Reggie. In her free time, Jami leads a very active lifestyle and enjoys working out, biking, and golfing. Her most cherished pastime is watching her boys play sports.

Dr. Byrd was born and raised in Newcastle, Wyo. and grew up visiting family in the northern Black Hills. She is a skilled audiologist with 17 years of experience who specializes in testing the hearing of patients of all ages. Dr. Byrd also provides hearing aid consultations and fittings. She is compassionate and dedicated to helping her patients hear and communicate better to improve their quality of life. Dr. Byrd enjoys reading and spending time with her family.

Brittany Bearstail, M.D., is a Family Medicine Physician at Monument Health Spearfish Clinic, North 10th Street. She grew up in North Dakota, and later moved to Eagle, Butte, S.D., where she graduated high school. Dr. Bearstail completed her Family Medicine Residency at the University of North Dakota Center for Family Medicine and earned her Medical Degree from the University of North Dakota School of Medicine & Health Sciences. She enjoys the full scope of primary care, particularly women’s health and pediatrics. She strives to help her patients learn about their health and make the best-informed decisions for themselves and their health care goals. In her free time, she enjoys spending time with her husband and three children, traveling, reading, trying new food and being physically active.
