Youth & Family Services sponsors programs for children from birth through age 18. The organization reaches more than 10,000 children through its centers in Rapid City, S.D., and outreach programs in 24 South Dakota counties. It sponsors Girls Incorporated of Rapid City, the Western Prevention Resource Center and Head Start, as well as childcare, nutrition services and counseling. Youth & Family Services has a staff of 200 employees and a fleet of nearly 60 buses, cars and vans. The organization primarily supports children from families of lower incomes and Native Americans. It helps children and families become capable, caring and contributing members of the community. Youth & Family Services has operated for more than 40 years.
