Trident Academy

Established in 1972, Trident Academy is an independent school that enrolls students with learning disabilities in kindergarten through grade 12. The school operates various departments, such as English, math, science, foreign language, computer science and history. It also offers a range of electives and conducts classes in marine biology, calculus, psychology and current events. The school s athletic division offers sports activities, such as basketball, tennis, golf, soccer and cheerleading. It also operates clubs, including yearbook, photography and key. The school conducts field trips and organizes a variety of academic events. Trident Academy is affiliated with the Southern Association of Colleges and Schools and the South Carolina Independent Schools Association. The school is located in Mount Pleasant, S.C.
