Founded in 1869, Claflin University is an independent, coeducational institution that is affiliated with the United Methodist Church. It offers a variety of academic programs to more than 1,800 students in it s over 40-acre facility. It offers master s degree in business education, biotechnology, management and education. Claflin University also offers bachelor s degrees in early childhood education, human performance and recreation, middle level education, art, history and sociology.
