SC Dept of Vocational Rehab

The South Carolina Vocational Rehabilitation Department is an employment agency that serves individual with disabilities. Its clients in area offices and work training centers learn work skills and behaviors while performing contract work for local businesses. The department works with more than 400 businesses and industries in South Carolina. The South Carolina Vocational Rehabilitation Department maintains more than 15 area offices and over 20 work training centers. It administers several rehabilitation technology programs that include job accommodation, vehicle and driving modification and home assessment solutions. The department operates voluntary residential treatment centers for clients who need inpatient therapy for the chronic abuse of alcohol and drugs.
