Roche Carolina was incorporated in 1992 and has been focused on helping its parent company, Hoffmann-La Roche, get its medicines to market faster and more efficiently. Roche Carolina is a division of Hoffman-La Roche s pharmaceutical sector. Hoffmann-La Roche consists of a family of companies with more than 20 pharmaceutical research and production facilities worldwide. Roche Carolina is one of the four Roche Pharmaceutical research and development/production facilities in the United States. Its workforce consists of more than 300 employees, of which 65 percent are college educated. Roche Carolina is headquartered at the crossroads of CSC Railway, Interstate 20 and Interstate 95 in Florence, S.C.
