George Smythe entered the banking industry in 1980 and has since gained much experience in the areas of retail banking, commercial banking and mortgage lending. This experience allows him to assist his clients realize their dream of homeownership. George's expertise with self\-employed borrowers make him uniquely qualified to help his clients. George has experience in construction financing, as well as primary, second home and investment property financing. George is a native Charlestonian. He is a lifelong member of the Second Presbyterian Church. George is currently the Vice President on the Charlestowne Neighborhood Association board and on the board for the Association for the Blind and Visually Impaired, ABVI. George is a twenty\-five year member, two\-time Paul Harris Fellow and past President of the Rotary Charleston Breakfast Club. George previously served on the Board of the Preservation Society of Charleston. George is assisted by Dana Cooper who has over twenty years of experience in processing, underwriting and closing mortgage loans.
