Dr. Kelsey Thomas is a Family Medicine physician with experience in providing comprehensive health care to patients of all ages from newborns to seniors. She has a particular interest in the management of Hypertension, Diabetes and Obesity. Dr. Thomas also welcomes minor clinic procedures, including insertion and removal of contraception devices, pap smears, skin biopsies, incision and drainage of abscesses, and cyst excisions. She is a graduate of Texas Southern University in Houston, Texas, with a Bachelor and Masters degree in Biology. She obtained her medical degree from St. James School of Medicine in Anguilla in 2017 and completed residency training at the University of Mississippi Medical Center in Jackson, Mississippi. She spent two years in rural Iowa, practicing full-spectrum Family Medicine including Obstetrics Inpatient Medicine and Emergency Medicine. Dr. Thomas is Board-Certified by the American Board of Family Medicine and the Educational Commission for Foreign Medical Graduates. She currently holds licensure in the states of South Carolina, Texas and Iowa. She is a member of the American Medical Association, American Academy of Family Physicians and the American College of Obstetricians and Gynecologists. Dr. Thomas is a native of Greenville, Mississippi. She is married with two children. In her spare time, Dr. Thomas enjoys shopping, traveling, and spending time outdoors with her family.
