Dr. Karthik Tanneru is a urologist with dual fellowship training in urological oncology and reconstructive urology. His clinical interests include robotic surgery, urological cancers, reconstructive urology, incontinence, supine PCNL for treatment of renal stones.After graduating from medical school in India in 2009, Dr. Tanneru completed a residency in general surgery followed by a residency in urology. He received many highly competitive travelling fellowships during his residency including the prestigious USI traveling fellowship. After his residency, he practiced as an attending urologist at a university hospital and used many innovative techniques to improve patient care. He then moved to the United States in 2019 to complete his advanced training in reconstructive urology at the University of Florida followed by urological oncology fellowship at the Medical University of South Carolina (MUSC) in Charleston. Dr. Tanneru has written for multiple peer-reviewed publications and delivered professional presentations at various national and international conferences. He serves as peer reviewer for multiple international urology journals and is consulting editor for the Brazilian Journal of Urology.
