History

Housed in the historic St. James Methodist Church built in 1856, this is the Charleston chapter of the Karpeles Manuscript Library Museums family. The building was purchased and refurbished in 1990 following severe damage from Hurricane Hugo.

Specialties

Historic structure and museum specializing in documents of historical interest. Exhibits are rotated every four months.
