She attended Mount Saint Mary's University where she earned her Bachelors in Biology and Johns Hopkins where she earned her Bachelors in Nursing. She attained her Masters and Doctorate in Nursing at the Medical University of South Carolina (MUSC). She developed a passion for preemie and infant care while working in the MUSC Neonatal ICU for 7 years that has carried over into her work in primary care. She enjoys working alongside families providing patients of all ages the latest evidence-based care and education to help them thrive and grow to their fullest potential.

Gwen Minzes DO is a Board-Certified Pediatrician practicing in Beaufort, SC. She received her Doctorate of Osteopathic Medicine from Kansas City University of Medicine and Biosciences and completed her Pediatric Residency at The University of South Alabama (USA). Her clinical interests include pediatric asthma, follow up of medically complex NICU graduates, and care of the well child. Her research while at USA focused on improving the management of pediatric asthma in the clinic setting. She is very excited to continue to serve the Lowcountry community with MUSC.
