Jeffrey Peter Yourshaw, MD

Jeffrey Sutton, M.D. FSSO is a fellowship-trained surgical oncologist who specializes in robotic and laparoscopic treatment of various cancers as well as the treatment of soft tissue malignancies. In addition, he has expertise in cytoreduction and heated intraperitoneal chemotherapy (CRS-HIPEC) as a treatment strategy for patients with peritoneal metastases from various primary tumor sites. At MUSC Health, he leads the expansion of the HIPEC program and minimally invasive surgical approaches to GI malignancies along with the treatment of patients with melanoma and sarcoma. Prior to joining MUSC, Dr. Sutton was an assistant professor of Surgery and associate program director for the general surgery residency program in the Department of General Surgery at the University of Toledo Medical Center/ProMedica Toledo Hospital in Toledo, Ohio. Dr. Sutton is an active member of multiple national societies, which include the Society of Surgical Oncology, Association for Surgical Education, American College of Surgeons, Association of Academic Surgery, Society for Surgery of the Alimentary Tract, and Pancreas Club. Dr. Sutton’s research efforts are quite impressive. He currently has 48 peer-reviewed manuscripts, 27 oral presentations, 24 poster presentations to his name many of which he served as a Lead Author. Dr. Sutton completed his Complex General Surgical Oncology Fellowship at the University of Pittsburgh Medical Center in Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania during which he earned a certificate in Medical Education. Prior to this, he completed his general surgery residency at University of Cincinnati Medical Center in Cincinnati, Ohio. During residency, he received numerous awards for teaching residents and medical students as well as for research.

Kelly Celek is a board-certified physician assistant working with the orthopaedic foot & ankle team at MUSC Health. Kelly treats patients in the outpatient setting, treating common foot and ankle injuries and conditions, while also preparing patients for surgery. Prior to joining MUSC, she practiced in both orthopaedic trauma and emergency medicine specialties here in Charleston, SC. She received her Master’s in Physician Assistant Studies from Wake Forest School of Medicine. Formerly from Nyack, New York, Kelly received her Bachelor’s of Science in Exercise Science from the University of South Carolina with honors. While there, she was a pole vaulter on the Division 1 Track and Field team.

Dr. Christopher E. Gross is a Professor of Orthopaedic Surgery currently serving as the Director of the Foot and Ankle Division and Fellowship Director at the Medical University of South Carolina. He completed a fellowship at Duke University Medical Center in Foot and Ankle Orthopaedic Surgery after completing his residency training at Rush University Medical Center in Chicago. He graduated from Harvard Medical School. As an orthopaedic foot and ankle surgeon, Dr. Gross is interested in complex reconstruction of the ankle in addition to cartilage injuries that range from small defects to end-stage ankle arthritis. With his partner Dr. Scott, he has developed a multidisciplinary research division by harnessing the power of artificial intelligence, improved implant design, and long-term patient outcomes. He is the author of over 90 published journal articles, 30 textbook chapters, and is the editor/author of a textbook about Foot and Ankle Orthopaedic Surgery. He has over 250 national and international presentations relating to orthopaedics.
