Irmo Police Department

The Irmo Police Department works to safeguard the lives and property of residents, businesses and visitors, as well as maintains social law and order. It operates a communication center that provides services for immediate information needs in daily operations and emergency situations. The department provides vehicle and home safety tips, as well as conducts vacation security and child seat safety checks. The Irmo Police Department supports community identification and senior citizens programs. In addition, it hosts Project ChildSafe, which is a nationwide firearms safety education program that distributes safety kits to children. The department is comprised of more than 20 sworn personnel. The Irmo Police Department handles cases related to homicide, rape, robbery, child abuse, auto theft, burglary and murder. It is located in Irmo, S.C.
