For more than 32 years, Hospice Care of the Lowcountry, a nonprofit hospice and palliative home health care agency has provided comfort and honored dignity for end of life patients and their families through compassionate physical, emotional and spiritual care. Located in Bluffton, S.C., services are provided across Beaufort, Jasper and Hampton Counties to patients regardless of their financial circumstances. The organization offers an array of service and support programs in the categories of hospice, palliative home health, pediatric palliative care, and community bereavement. They also offer a series of supportive programs including Hos-Pet Pet Therapy, Pet Peace of Mind, We Honor Veterans, Kids Path, Hop Aboard, Music Therapy, Video Memoirs and The WatchmanTM Program. As part of Kids Path, a program caring for children and teens coping with illness and loss, the organization offers a youth bereavement day camp.
