The Original Hamburger Joe’s opened right after Hurricane Hugo on October 11, 1989 by Joe Brooks. He started out in 1972 with a chain of successful seafood restaurants (220 Seafood) in NC & VA. He came to the beach in 1978 and opened White Point Seafood Restaurant which is now the site of The House of Blues at Barefoot Landing. In the mid-80’s, Joe wanted to offer casual fine dining to beach and golf enthusiasts, so he opened Joe’s Bar & Grill. Having the name, ‘Bar & Grill’, many thought it was a burger joint, so Joe said let’s open a burger joint! An old-fashioned burger joint and call it Hamburger Joe’s. Running 3 successful restaurants in the early 90’s brought buyers for White Point and Joe’s Bar & Grill. Joe now has just the one Hamburger Joe’s in North Myrtle Beach and a 2nd location in Surfside Beach owned & operated by Tony Cherney and family. Mid-way through our 27th season, Joe and his crew assure you that we will do everything to see you and serve you in the next 30 years

Hamburger Joes is a blast from the past. Quality, cheap, good food. I ordered a cheeseburger, cheese sticks, and a pitcher of beer for less than $15. You can't beat that anywhere. Everything here...

Hamburger Joe's came highly recommended so during our recent MB trip we had to stop! HANDS DOWN the best wings we have ever had. We had the GOLD sauce. The cheeseburgers were really good as well....
