It operates a more than 177,000 square feet of manufacturing facility and has a work force of more than 100 employees. Graniteville Specialty Fabrics creates coatings that add color and extend ultraviolet resistance to a variety of fabrics. It provides specialty coatings that include heat-resistant products for ironing board covers and fire retardant and water resistant fabrics for commercial and consumer applications. The company also offers awning, marine and tentage products, as well as a range of coatings, substrates and finishes. Graniteville Specialty Fabrics serves clients in apparel, ironing board, hot air balloon and outdoor furniture fields. It operates a specialty fabrics division, Avondale Mills, which is one of the largest denim manufacturers in the United States.
