Gopi Yogesh Shah, MD

Prisma Health Neurology, Prisma Health Genetic Counseling and the University of South Carolina College of Social Work offer a statewide, outpatient multidisciplinary clinic for individuals with Huntington's disease and their families. We serve families affected by this complex, challenging condition by tailoring each clinic visit to meet the needs of the individual.

Richard A. Edelson, MD, PhD, FACC, is a cardiologist with Prisma Health Cardiology and a clinical assistant professor at the University of South Carolina School of Medicine. He earned his bachelor's degree in chemistry at Duke University in Durham, North Carolina, and his PhD in biological chemistry at the University of Virginia in Charlottesville. He earned his medical degree at the Medical College of Virginia in Richmond, where he also served his internship and residency in internal medicine and completed a fellowship in cardiology. Dr. Edelson is board certified in cardiovascular disease and currently serves at the medical director of Nuclear Medicine at Prisma Health–Midlands.

Ryan Altman, MD, FACC, is an interventional cardiologist with Prisma Health Cardiology. He earned his medical degree at the Medical University of South Carolina, in Charleston, SC. Dr. Altman completed fellowships in cardiovascular disease and interventional cardiology at Scott & White Memorial Hospital in Temple, TX and University of Florida College of Medicine in Jacksonville, FL. His residency in internal medicine was conducted at University of North Carolina Hospitals. Dr. Altman is board certified in the following from the American Board of Internal Medicine: internal medicine, cardiovascular disease, and interventional cardiology.
