Founded in 1912, the Florence Family YMCA is a charitable organization that serves more than 5,500 members, including children, adults and families. The organization is one of the premier community service agencies in Pee Dee in South Carolina. It coordinates swimming, fitness and leadership programs for men, women and children. The organization operates a child care center and mini gymnasium. The Florence Family YMCA also administers after-school programs for students in kindergarten through grade six. Visions of Women (VOW) is a South Carolina nonprofit organization dedicated to raising awareness about domestic violence and promoting healthy relationships.
