Brian Redmond, MD, joined Blue Ridge Orthopedics in 2002. He graduated summa cum laude with a Biology degree from Ripon College, where he also played four years of NCAA III varsity football and served as team captain. As a member of the Blue Ridge Orthopedics sports medicine staff, Dr. Redmond provides specialized care for several area high school and college athletic teams, as well as general orthopedic and trauma care to active persons of all ages. He is the head team orthopedic surgeon to Southern Weslyan University (2016-present), the head team physician for Pickens High School (2002-present), and assists in the care of Clemson University athletes and students. Dr. Redmond is Board Certified by the American Board of Orthopedic Surgery, with a specialty certification in Orthopedic Sports Medicine. He is a fellow of the American Academy of Orthopedic Surgeons, the Arthroscopy Association of North America, and a member of the South Carolina Medical Association. He specializes in complex knee and shoulder injuries, hip and ankle arthroscopy, and is certified in Advanced Cartilage Restoration Techniques.
