Charleston has been home for me since my family relocated to the area when I was a child. I attended the Medical University of South Carolina and after completing my residency in Denver, I returned to Charleston for good in 2008. \n I am board certified in Obstetrics and Gynecology and provide the full spectrum of OB/GYN care for adolescents through menopausal patients, including wellness visits, contraception, prenatal care, fertility evaluations, labor and delivery, abnormal uterine bleeding, hormone replacement therapy, hysterectomies, minimally invasive surgeries and more. I am passionate about health equity and access, dismantling bias and providing compassionate care to all patients, regardless of race, religion, sexual orientation, gender identity or any other qualifier. \n As the daughter of a minister, my faith is important to me. I'm an elder at First (Scots) Presbyterian Church and have led medical missions to both Haiti and Malawi. \n I was named Preceptor of the Year for MUSC's Physician Assistant program in 2022. Since 2023, I've served on the board of Postpartum Support Charleston, a nonprofit supporting new moms with mental health concerns. In late 2024, South Carolina Gov. Henry McMaster appointed me to the state Board of Medical Examiners for a 3-year term. \n My husband, Josh, and I have a daughter and a son, two boxers and six chickens. I love living in Mount Pleasant and being close to my parents and in-laws.
