The Confederate Museum in Charleston, SC is a historical institution that preserves and showcases relics from the Confederate era. Housed in the iconic Market Hall, which once served as a meeting place for market commissioners and hosted elegant social functions, the museum was established in 1899 by the Charleston Chapter #4, United Daughters of the Confederacy, with the support of former Confederate soldiers.

I love this museum and highly recommend it to travelers and local residents. The docents at the museum are very gracious and thoroughly explain the history of the artifacts.

Right in the heart of the market place. It's a tiny little museum with a lot of history. You will get to see a lot of uniforms and articles from the war. If you look close enough on the uniforms...
