The Cohen Campbell Fisheries Center, formerly known as the Styx Hatchery, is a historic fish hatchery located in Pine Ridge, South Carolina. Established in 1935 with WPA CCC funds, the hatchery produces over one million fish annually, including largemouth bass, striped bass, bluegill, redear sunfish, channel catfish, and robust redhorse suckers.
With 15 production ponds and a 3.5-acre reservoir pond, the Cohen Campbell Hatchery utilizes pumped surface water from Congaree Creek or three wells as its water source. This renowned facility, dedicated to the memory of a dedicated manager, has been an integral part of South Carolina's hatchery program for over 80 years.
