Charles Carter, MD, earned his doctor of medicine from the University of South Carolina School of Medicine in Columbia, and is a graduate of the family medicine residency program at Palmetto Health Richland, also in Columbia, where he served as chief resident his final year. Dr. Carter completed a faculty development fellowship at Georgetown University School of Medicine in Washington, DC, is a clinical professor of family medicine at USC and is board certified. He received the USC School of Medicine Distinguished Young Physician Alumni Award in 2008, the Clinical Practice Teaching Award in 2012, and the South Carolina Area Health Education Consortium's Halford Award 2018. His special interests are in migraine headache, cardiovascular disease prevention, diabetes and graduate medical education.

Dr. Boston’s clinical interests include population health, geriatrics, preventive medicine and healthcare disparities.
