HistoryHarris Architects' work is a mix of new construction and historic preservation that reflects the expertise and interests of founding partners Ellen Pratt Harris AIA and Douglas K. Harris AIA. After moving to North Carolina in 1995, Ellen started a practice focusing on the restoration and rehabilitation of historic buildings. The firm's work broadened in 1998 to include residential, commercial, and religious buildings when Doug became a partner. Full architectural services are now provided to both private and public clients for a wide range of projects.
