Cafe Strudel, founded on October 3, 1997, by owners Trip and Marila Turbyfill, began its journey in a modest 600 square foot space on State Street in Lexington, SC. After quickly gaining popularity, the café moved to a larger location in 2000, occupying a former bank building that had also served as New Brookland Town Hall.
