Brandon William Hanna, MD

Peter Haines, MD, FACS, is a board-certified plastic surgeon who has been caring for patients in the Columbia community since 1986. He earned his medical degree from the University of Vermont School of Medicine in Burlington, where he also completed his internship and residency in general surgery. He completed his residency in plastic surgery at the University of Virginia Department of Plastic and Maxillofacial Surgery in Charlottesville, where he had additional fellowships in hand, craniofacial and burn reconstruction. Dr. Haines is a fellow of the American College of Surgeons and a member of the American Society of Plastic Surgeons, the Southeastern Society of Plastic and Reconstructive Surgeons, the American Cleft Palate Association, the Columbia Medical Society, and several other professional organizations. His expertise encompasses a wide range of cosmetic and reconstructive surgeries of the breast, body and face, including pediatric and congenital deformities.

Thomas W. Schultz, DO, is a cardiologist at Prisma Health Cardiology in Columbia, South Carolina, and a clinical assistant professor at the University of South Carolina School of Medicine. He received his medical degree from the Ohio University College of Osteopathic Medicine in Athens and completed his residency in internal medicine and fellowship in general cardiology at Lutheran General Hospital in Park Ridge, Illinois. He then completed a fellowship in interventional cardiology at the University of Connecticut at Hartford Hospital in Hartford. Dr. Schultz is board certified in cardiovascular disease, internal medicine and interventional cardiology, and is currently reading vascular studies. He is skilled in adult transthoracic and transesophageal echocardiography, nuclear cardiology, percutaneous coronary intervention, permanent pacemaker implantation and peripheral diagnostics.

Matthew R. Pollack, MD, received his medical degree and a master’s degree in physiology from Virginia Commonwealth University School of Medicine in Richmond. He completed his residency in family medicine at Trident Health System in Charleston and completed a sports medicine fellowship at the Andrews Sports Medicine and Orthopaedic Center in Birmingham, Alabama. Prior to his medical training, Dr. Pollack received his undergraduate degree in biology from James Madison University in Harrisonburg, Virginia. Dr. Pollack serves as a team physician for the University of South Carolina Gamecocks, as well as numerous other colleges and universities. He previously served as a primary care and sports medicine physician with Palmetto Primary Care Physicians in Charleston. He specializes in providing patients of all ages non-operative sports medicine care. An expert in concussion management, Pollack is trained in using ImPACT computerized concussion evaluation software. He also is skilled in providing comprehensive orthopedic care using the latest in ultrasound technology. He is able to provide various in-office ultrasound guided joint and soft tissue injections as well as viscosupplementation injections for knee arthritis. Pollack is experienced in regenerative medicine including Platelet Rich Plasma (PRP) and Stem Cell injections. He currently serves as a clinical assistant professor of orthopedic surgery at the University of South Carolina School of Medicine, is directly involved in the sports medicine fellowship program and provides training for new sports medicine physicians.
