Established in 1946, Bessinger's Barbecue is one of the oldest restaurants in Charleston in South Carolina. It specializes in a variety of barbecues and sauces. The restaurant s menu includes Carolina coleslaw, cheeseburgers, hamburgers, onion rings, chicken tenders, barbecue baked beans and hot dogs. Bessinger's Barbecue offers a range of buffet dishes, including barbecue pork, macaroni, sweet potato souffl , fried and teriyaki chicken and green beans. Additionally, the restaurant serves a selection of salads, soups, beverages and desserts. It is owned and operated by Bessinger's & Bessinger's.
