Athena is the Small Business Banker located at the Florence S. Irby branch, covering what is known as the Pee Dee Area (Florence, Hartsville, Lake City). She is a dedicated professional with 23 years of loyal service to SouthState Bank, taking pride in her work ethic and commitment to excellence. Athena began her banking career at SouthState Bank as a part-time teller, and now, in her current role, she helps small businesses in the area achieve their financial goals. Born and raised in Florence, SC, Athena is the child of immigrant parents who instilled in her the values of faith, community, and family.
