As part of MUSC Hollings Cancer Center, South Carolina's only NCI Designated Cancer Center, the MUSC Health Radiation Oncology team is committed to providing the best evidence-based care. Patients are often faced with a difficult decision regarding cancer treatment using surgery, chemotherapy or radiation therapy. Using our multidisciplinary approach to cancer care, we will work to determine the best treatment recommendations and deliver the highest quality care. Lindsey Cox, M.D. is an Associate Professor in the Department of Urology at the Medical University of South Carolina in Charleston, South Carolina. She graduated magna cum laude with her Doctor of Medicine from The Ohio State University where she was elected into the Alpha Omega Alpha Medical Honor Society. She completed urology residency at the University of Pennsylvania in Philadelphia, Pennsylvania. She received her fellowship training in Female Pelvic Medicine and Reconstructive Surgery at the University of Michigan. Dr. Cox is an active member of the American Urological Association; the Society for Urodynamics, Female Pelvic Medicine, and Urogenital Reconstruction; and the Society of Academic Urologists. Dr. Cox is Board Certified in both Urology and Female Pelvic Medicine and Reconstructive Surgery. Dr. Cox's clinical interests include complex incontinence and voiding dysfunction, neurogenic bladder, pelvic organ prolapse, and urologic reconstruction. Her research interests include the study of neurogenic bladder, urodynamics, and male and female voiding dysfunction, and urinary tract infection. She is the author and editor of multiple peer-reviewed scientific articles, review articles, and book chapters. She has presented her research at national and international meetings. She is the program director for the Urology residency program at the Medical University of South Carolina and has an interest in graduate medical education, surgical training, and the study of effective teaching and mentoring.

Dr. Abhay Varma is faculty in neurosurgery at the Medical University of South Carolina. He completed his residency in India and fellowships in brain tumor surgery and spine surgery at the University of Pittsburgh, the University of Toronto, and the Cleveland Clinic. He specializes in managing adult brain tumors, hydrocephalus, Chiari malformation, adult spinal and spine tumors, and peripheral nerve disorders, including children with brachial plexus injuries (neonatal brachial plexopathy). His surgical practice offers microsurgery and endoscopic surgery. He also offers brain mapping and awake craniotomies for patients with brain tumors in eloquent areas, like the motor strip, the speech areas, and perisylvian tumors. Dr. Varma accepts new patients in downtown Charleston, Mount Pleasant, and Murrells Inlet.
