History

We started American Workbench, LLC in my garage in 2005. My wife had tried to find a Custom Wood workbench as a gift for me and all she could find was pre made third world imported benches that were of no real substance. I decided to build my own, and out of frustration, wood burned the name American Workbench. After being coaxed by friends and associates to begin selling them, my wife and I created the original company website. At that time we were selling one or two a month while I was still operating Hotels. In March 2008 my hotel was sold. It was then(during the downturn of our economy), that I decided to operate the business full-time. I leased 700 sq ft of industrial space with a minimal amount of equipment. Today, we have 6,000 sq ft of manufacturing space and 5 employees. This year we will reach $500,000 in sales. I'm proud of what we have accomplished over the past 5 years and couldn't be happier.
