Amanda Leigh Parks, MD

Dr. Matvey Tsivian is a board-certified, fellowship-trained urologic oncologist. Dr. Tsivian graduated Magna cum Laude from the University of Bologna Medical School in Italy, followed by an internship and residency at Duke University Medical Center. He then completed a urologic oncology fellowship at Mayo Clinic in Rochester, Minnesota. Prior to joining MUSC Health in 2024, Dr. Tsivian was an Assistant Professor of Urology at Atrium Health Wake Forest Baptist Comprehensive Cancer Center. Dr. Tsivian is quadrilingual, with a fluency in English, Hebrew, Russian, and Italian. He has published numerous articles related to urologic cancers and participates in many genitourinary oncology clinical trials. Dr. Tsivian is the Director of the Urologic Oncology Fellowship at the Medical University of South Carolina.

Elizabeth Poth, AuD is an Instructor of Audiology at MUSC specializing in the evaluation and management of hearing loss in adults. Dr. Poth is a graduate of Miami University, with undergraduate degrees in both Zoology and Speech Pathology & Audiology. She received her MS degree in Audiology from the University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill and her AuD degree from A.T. Still University - Arizona School of Health Sciences. She completed a clinical fellowship at MUSC, after which she joined the faculty. Dr. Poth has an extensive background as a research audiologist with the MUSC Hearing Research Program's NIH-funded studies on age-related hearing loss. As a clinical audiologist, Dr. Poth has continued her involvement in translational research managing audiology support for clinical trials in the Department of Otolaryngology-Head & Neck Surgery. She contributes to the clinical education of Audiology externs and fellows and is a team member of the MUSC Vestibular Program. Her current focus is providing adult patient evaluation of hearing and balance through behavioral and electrophysiologic testing, hearing rehabilitation through the fitting and evaluation of hearing aids and assistive listening devices, and hearing conservation through the dispensing of custom hearing protection.

Cynthia Talley, M.D., FACS is an acute care surgeon at MUSC Health who specializes in trauma surgery, emergency general surgery, and surgical critical care. Dr. Talley is highly trained and has extensive knowledge of surgical procedures and how to manage different types of injuries. Dr. Talley’s philosophy is to deliver compassionate care to patients with acute illness and injury and their families. Fellowship-trained in acute care surgery, Dr. Talley is board certified in general surgery and surgical critical care and has clinical expertise in treating injuries from trauma and providing quality ICU care. Her particular niche is ultrasound-guided bedside procedures and ICU care. Dr. Talley serves many leadership roles both at MUSC and within professional medical and surgical organizations. Dr. Talley is vice chair of education for the MUSC Department of Surgery, where she developed our future surgical leaders program. Outside the walls of MUSC, she serves on the Board of Directors for the Eastern Association for the Surgery of Trauma (EAST), is president-elect of the SC chapter of the American College of Surgeons (ACS), and chair of the Member Service Committee of the Young Fellows Association (YFA) of the ACS. In addition, Dr. Talley trains EMS, nurses, and the community regarding trauma and disaster medicine. Dr. Talley is fellowship-trained in acute care surgery from Vanderbilt University. She completed her surgical residency at the University of Tennessee Graduate School of Medicine and her medical degree from the University of Tennessee School of Medicine. Prior to joining MUSC, she was a trauma surgeon at the University of Kentucky.
