Who We Are Now is a temporary public art installation in Providence, RI that aims to celebrate and monumentalize the diverse identities of Rhode Islanders. Through the eyes of emerging Rhode Island artists, this project invites the community to reflect on their shared experiences, connections, and perceptions of one another. With the collaboration of the City of Providence Department of Art, Culture, and Tourism, Who We Are Now showcases the beautiful, complex, and multi-layered identities of Rhode Island through public art installations, programming, and celebration.

Curated by Mary Beth Meehan, Jos Ramirez, and David Santilli, this project features awarded artists and their photographs, such as Sara Socheata Brown's series "The Americans" and Kannetha Brown's exploration of social justice and representation. The aim of Who We Are Now is to foster connection, understanding, and appreciation among Rhode Islanders, encouraging them to reach across differences and consider one another anew.
